Surf at Folly is knee-thigh high its pretty clean at the moment, not much juice to it but theirs a little wave out there.
Winds are light/moderate out of the North. Winds will trend more ENE later today.
We have a low tide approaching at 8:43 a.m., a high tide at 3:09 p.m., a dropping tide into the sunset hours.
The Edisto buoy is reading 4.3ft at 7 seconds from the ESE.
Surf not as big as we all hoped, still a thigh high wave out there, the tides pretty low maybe the incoming will help it out. Surf drops into the weekend not much surf will be around. Looking further ahead two things to watch. 1st is a strong massive high pressure that looks to push off New England coast that should generate onshore winds and a building trend early work week. Winds will be out of the East-southeast. 2nd we are starting to see models jump on a really strong low to develop near the Yucatan in the Gulf. That High pressure just mentioned for now should block that system from coming our way. But these are long range models and things can chance with time. Will the Yucatan Low be the 1st named storm of the Season? Time will tell.
The water temperature is hovering right around 82*.
It’s currently 81 degrees and partly sunny. Looks like we have some clouds and a high of 82* today.
Sunrise 6:12 a.m., Sunset 8:29 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
