Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, June 15 at 8:30 a.m.

New men’s Vissla Boardshorts and apparel has arrived at the shop, as well as their line of short-sleeve button-downs. We’ve also got new Freestyle watches in the shop. Come see what’s new.

Surf at Folly is showing waist high sets this morning in drifty NE swell. Looks kinda fun early.

Winds are north-north/east around 15 mph surf zone is semi-clean.

Winds should continue today more northerly and stay moderate.

We are coming to a low tide at 10:13 a.m. We see a high tide at 4:38 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.3 ft. at 7 seconds in a short-period SE wind-swell.

Surf looks actually kind of fun this morning showing waist high sets and semi clean. A little bit of drift to it but worth a look for sure. Last night a little low decided to spin right over our marine area and this is our result. I wouldn’t expect this to last long as this low moved quickly back north out of our window. The remainder of the week is looking small. A stationary Low develops over the outer banks mid week which will not bring surf to us unfortunately. High pressure begins to settle itself over the mid atlantic later this week small summer like conditions should prevail.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Weak low pressure will pass off the coast early this week, tracking north to the Outer Banks by midweek. Additionally, an upper level disturbance is forecasted to linger over the Southeast most of this week, bringing unsettled weather.”

It’s 73 degrees currently with partly cloudy skies. Look for a high of 77 with a 50% chance of thunderstorms developing today.

Water temperature is up to 82*.

Sunrise is at 6:10 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:28 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
