Surf at Folly is knee to thigh high, starting to gradually build. Winds are onshore doesn’t look great but maybe some improvement later today.
Winds are moderate out of the ENE. 10-15 mph ENE winds today.
We have a low tide around 10:53 a.m., high tide to follow at 5:38 p.m.,
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.0ft at 6 seconds from the E.
Surf is knee to thigh high in ENE wind-swell. Looking further ahead a couple things to watch this week possibly some bigger surf on the way. Early work week around later Tuesday look for a massive strong high pressure to shove off New England coastline, this will generate some Easterly onshore flow and surf should be on a gradual building trend with onshore winds. Surf will be semi choppy but picking up into the waist-belly high range by mid-week. Then we have some remaining moisture from a previous front just north of the Caribbean islands that look to better organize and move westward towards our marine area. NHC has now given a 20% chance for development but regardless this should only further enhance our surf on the later half of our work week. Keep an eye on models well see what happens. We also look to have a strong low develop near the Yucatan but for now shouldn’t affect us.
The water temperature is hovering right around 80*.
It’s currently 75 and sunny. Looks like we have nothing but sunshine today, with a high of 86*.
Sunrise 6:11 a.m., Sunset 8:28 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
