Semi-choppy to choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Waist-to-stomach. A bit bigger, occasionally.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning everybody, this is Luke with your surf report and Forecast for Wednesday, June 19th  at 7:45 a.m.

Surf at Folly is running around waist to belly high with plus sets. Its gradually still building. Wind is on it and it’s a little drifty but some nugs.

Winds are still pretty strong out of the Easterly direction. 15-25mph

We just came off a low tide. A low tide around 12:27 p.m., high tide to follow at 7:03 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 4.6ft at 7 seconds from the ESE.

Surf again building at the moment as strong high pressure settles offshore generating these Easterly winds for us. Currently waist to belly high and building. Swell should peak tomorrow into the chest to shoulder high range. Surf will hang on though onshore winds persist and waist+ surf can be expected over the early weekend.  We have a 10% chance of tropical development heading our way over the next two days, and Alberto could be born in the Gulf of Mexico later today.

The water temperature is hovering right around 80*.

It’s currently 78 and sunny. Looks like we have nothing but sunshine today, with a high of 83*.

Sunrise 6:13 a.m., Sunset 8:31 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
