Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, March 15 at 7:30 a.m.
We have tons of new board-shorts and apparel for men and women just arriving at the shop. Lots of new spring inventory in stock, and still plenty of last seasons walk-shorts on sale. Come get ready for warmer weather at Ocean Surf Shop.
Waves at Folly this morning are knee-thigh high a rare waist high set could be found on this mornings incoming tide push.
Winds are light and variable this morning making for clean surface conditions. Look for winds to pick up slightly out of the north later this afternoon 10mph.
We have a low tide are report time. High tide at 1:40 p.m., and a low tide at 7:35 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is down and not reading. Surflines buoy is reading 3.1ft in a ESE swell.
Surf is about knee-waist high on average could be worth a look around mid-morning. The surf were seeing is a result of a stalled front over our marine area. Looking ahead into the work week we have a series of weak fronts passing through the Charleston area resulting in small but rideable surf much of the work week. Swell looks to start the week more ENE direction then rotating more favorably for folly out of the ESE direction mid-week. We will keep you in the loop throughout.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stationary front over the area will move south as a cold front this afternoon and evening. Then, cooler high pressure will build over the region from the north while some weak upper level disturbances move through into mid week. A warm front will then lift north through the area Wednesday night or Thursday with a cold frontal passage likely Saturday.”
It’s 61* with fog and cloudy skies this morning. Look for cloudy skies and a high of 74* today.
Water temperature is around 60*.
Sunrise is at 7:30 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:26 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
