May 7th Pier

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your ocean surf shop surf forecast for May 7th, 2025. The waves at the pier this morning look small and weak with a fun log wave passing through on occasion. Not a crazy day to rush to the beach with your gear but a fun looking wiggle to be had for sure if the morning is open. 5 kt winds out of NW make for a well-groomed wave face with minor to no texture out there this morning. Still lacking a good bit of energy but it for sure ridable.

Winds are currently 5kt coming from NW with gusts up to 10kt. Winds will stay light throughout the day and switch to SE as we head towards the late afternoon. Some dense fog out there today and a solid chance of rain later too.

We’re approaching low tide at 11:03 a.m. followed by a high tide later this afternoon at 5:33 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is currently reading 2.6 ft in a short period swell at 8 seconds out of the ESE.

The water temperature is around 73*.

Our guys and gals at NOAA say, “A front will remain stalled nearby through the weekend as cut-off low continues to move closer to the region. This will allow an unsettled, wet pattern to persist over the next several days”. In other words, it’s going to be a rainy work week!

It’s currently 69* and cloudy on the island. It’ll stay cloudy throughout the day with some sun here and there. Look at a high of 77*

Sunrise was at 6:28 a.m. and the sunset will be at 8:06 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.

Cheers!!
