Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, April 17 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at Folly is ankle high basically flat.
Winds are strong west north-west at 15-20mph
Look for winds to stay west and begin to back off and die down as the day moves on.
We have a low tide at 12:40 a.m. and high tide will be at 6:55 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 feet at 5 seconds in short period SSW wind-swell.
Surf has gone pretty flat unfortunately. Our surf generally stays down most of our work week as high pressure builds in over our region keeping the surf small. Our weather all week though looks amazing for some beach time.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “look for high pressure through Thursday. A cold front could move through Friday night or Saturday.”
Its breezy and mid 60s this morning. We should warm up a little bit today with a high in the mid 70s with sunshine.
Water temperature is 67*.
Sunrise is at 6:50 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:49 p.m.
