Side-shore, clean and weak. Choppier this afternoon.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee.
Traffic: Some, but not bad.
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, April 19 at 8:00 a.m.

We just received a shipment of mid-length surfboards from Solid Surf in San Diego and a bunch of great short and long-boards from Greg Geiselman at Orion Surfboards in New Smyrna Beach. Come check them out. We are stocked up with some beautiful boards.

Surf at The Washout this morning is shin to knee high. It is weak and semi-clean early.

Winds are west/south-west at 10 knots. Look for westerly winds to increase at 15 to 20 this afternoon. We see side-shore, semi-choppy and very small surf all day.

Tide is now coming in, and we have a high tide at 1:39 p.m. Low tide will be at 7:35 p.m.

Virtual buoy readings are showing 2.5 ft. at 5 seconds in short period south-west wind swell.

WE have small waves again this morning. Perhaps ridable on the log. We have weak high pressure over our marine area for the first-half of the work week. A cold front passage does Wednesday does not show promise for waves mid-week. We have overall small conditions in the forecast all week, but as low pressure moves into our marine area on Saturday, we could see surf pick up late Saturday into Sunday. We’ll keep you posted.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather forecast calls for: “Weak high pressure will prevail early this week, before a cold front crosses the region on Wednesday. High pressure will then return for late week. Low pressure will impact the area over the weekend.”

It’s a beautiful morning. It’s 67* and sunny. Look for a great beach day with a high of 76* and sun all day.

Water temperature is around 68*.

Sunrise is at 6:43 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:52 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
