Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast Monday, April 25 at 8:30 a.m.
We have a new shipment of Stewart Epoxy boards at the shop, including Redline 11 and 2 Funline models. Come check them out.
Waves at The Washout this morning are knee-thigh high and glassy. Drained out with the approaching low tide. May get a little bigger set as the tide comes in.
Winds are north/north-west at 2 knots, and surf zone clean.
Winds will be out of the southwest today at 5 knots then becoming south this afternoon. Tonight we will see winds switching from south to southwest around 5-10 knots.
We have a low tide at 10:27 a.m. High tide will be at 4:42 p.m. The next low tide will be at 10:50 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 8 seconds with a fading medium period swell out of the south-east.
There is a little clean wave out here this morning, and there should be a small rideable wave at Folly today, especially for the high volume board. We have a cold front pushing through Tuesday and waves may pick up some for Wednesday if the north winds don’t push it down overnight. Could be a clean wave Wednesday morning. Later in the week we see an easterly flow headed into the weekend.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A cold front will then impact the region Tuesday night, followed by a return to high pressure for the second half of next week.”
It’s currently 71* and sunny at the beach. Look for a high of 76* and sunshine all day. Another beautiful day to be on the beach.
Water Temperature is around 68*.
Sunrise is at 6:38 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:56 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
