Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None

Good morning this is Luke  with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, April 3, at 8:30 a.m.

Lots of Spring/summer gear hitting the floors bikinis, board shorts flops you name it we got you covered.

Surfs looking around knee-thigh high on this mornings high tide, looks decent for a longboard sesh.

Winds will be from the east south-east today around 5-10mph which will put a little texture to the surface but shouldn’t hurt it to bad.

We had a high tide around report time, low tide will drain out at 1:10 p.m. another high tide to conclude the day at 7:25 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6ft at 8 seconds in medium period east swell.

Surfs still rideable for the logs/high volume sleds showing knee-thigh high nothing great this Monday morning. High pressure has begun to settle in today into mid-week keeping the surf on the small side but rideable on favorable tides. Later work week things spice up. A cold front approaches our area forcing the high pressure offshore which will begin a onshore flow and a building trend will begin.  The front looks to stall over our marine area for the weekend and thigh-waist+ surf should stick around. Now, long range has moisture lingering around Sunday/Monday that looks to eventually develop into a strong low right over our marine area which could potentially significantly bump our surf up. Lots to watch, im sure models will change a bit in the next few days but its something to watch no doubt.

“It’s 65** and  sunny this morning. Look for a high of 75* with ample sunshine turning to clouds later today.

Water temperature is back up to 65*.

Sunrise is at 7:07 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:39 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
