Look for continued winds north-east 10-15 knots this morning swinging around to south-east this afternoon around 10 knots. Surf zone will likely stay choppy all day.

We have a high tide at 10:50 a.m., and a low tide at 4:45 p.m. The next high tide is at 11:01 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.3 feet at 7 seconds in a medium period south-east swell. This is pushing against a small north-east wind swell.

Choppy surf today with strong winds out of the north-east swing to south-east this afternoon.  We will see another south wind swell begin to fill in Tuesday afternoon ahead of another series of storms that will move into our marine area from the west. This trend continues into Thursday, with strong south winds going south west Thursday. Surf will increase in size, but will have some wind on it. This could clean up late day Thursday or maybe on Friday, depending in the timing of the front. Surf will be small again next weekend as high pressure sets up, and beautiful weather returns.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A series of low pressure systems will impact the region through the middle of the week. Drier weather is expected to return late week through the weekend.”

It’s currently 61* and sun. Look for a high of 71* and partly sunny. It’s going to be breezy today with winds blowing straight off the ocean this afternoon.

Water Temperature is around 65*.

Sunrise is at 7:03 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:41 p.m.
