Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, August 15 at 8:30 a.m.  
Waves at Folly this morning are flat-to-knee-high. It’s small out there today. 
Winds are west at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean.    
Look for winds to rotate south-westerly at 10 knots late morning, increasing south-west at 15 to 20 ahead of a frontal boundary. We see choppy, small surf this afternoon.  
High tide will be at 11:15 a.m., and low tide will be at 5:20 p.m. 
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.7 feet at 7 seconds in a medium-period, easterly swell. But nothing showing at the beach.
Surf is small today.  Tuesday, sees leftover south-west wind swell in the water. It’s looking pretty small for the the workweek with not many swell-makers in our vicinity. Hey, at least it’s a good week to get back to school, because this week’s forecast is pretty dismal.  
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A cold front will move into the region tonight and Tuesday, lingering in the vicinity through late week.”
Water Temperature is around 84*. 
It’s 75* with bright sun this morning. We see a high of 85* today with some cloud cover this afternoon and a slight chance for a thunderstorm.  
Sunrise is at 6:42 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:05 p.m.
