Lots of Christmas gift ideas are here! Stance socks, Corkcicles, shop tees & hats, and lots more!
Waves at the Washout are knee high with thigh high sets in north-east wind chop waves. Might be rideable on the long-board this morning, but nothing too great.
Tide is way up in the rocks at the morning’s high tide.
Winds are north/north-east at 15 knots, and surf is semi-choppy.
Surf should remain overall semi-choppy today with north-east winds at 10 to 15 knots.
Low tide will be at 2:14 p.m., and high tide will be at 8:18 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 3.9 ft. at 5 sec. in short period, high angled north-east wind waves.
Early in the work week looks fairly unproductive for your surf session, but there could be a longboard wave for Tuesday into Wednesday as a strong cold front approaches. A series of low pressure systems will move along the frontal boundary just off of our coast mid-week, and this should push up some sort of small swell, but nothing too big. Tuesday and Wednesday could have some longboard waves, but it’ll be getting down right cold later in the week, and we see high angled north wind waves and cold air later in the week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail into Tuesday. A strong cold front will move through the region Wednesday. The front will likely stall just off the coast through late in the week with unsettled weather as waves of low pressure move along the front. Strong, continental high pressure is expected to return next weekend.”
It’s 57* with clouds and sun this morning. Look for a high of 68 with sunshine this afternoon.
Water temperature is back up to 60*.
Sunset is at 5:12 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:02 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
