Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Monday, December 11th at 8:00 a.m.

Surf unfortunately got pretty beat down from last nights strong offshores, still a small longboard wave knee-thigh high winds are offshore and looks fun for your long sticks.

Currently winds are strong offshore NW around 15-20mph winds will lighten up late afternoon.

We have a low tide at 12:35 p.m. High tide is back at 6:23 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 6.6ft at 6 in NW wind-swell moving away from shore. Secondary SSW wind-swell still showing at the buoy but dropping fast.

Surf currently knee-thigh high clean peelers get on it quickly before the wind knocks it dead. Unfortunately timing wasn’t on our side this time. High pressure looks to return for most of our work week keeping our surf down. Late work week into our entire weekend, all eyes should focus on the Gulf. Seeing two areas, one off the Yucatan and second is in the Northern Gulf. Both look to show signs of developing into Lows that shove off the coast of Florida this upcoming weekend. We will get more details soon, but for now things look pretty exciting if these models can hold up.

NOAA Forecast: “ A high pressure through this week. A low may impact the region this coming weekend.”

Current water temp: 60*.

It’s sunny and cold! Look for temps to only get to the mid 50s today so much colder.

Sunrise is 7:10 a.m., Sunset 5:13 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
