Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Monday December 25th at 8:30 am.

Merry Christmas to All!

Surf is looking decent waist-belly high building wind-swell although the winds aren’t to bad this morning. Looks fun, recommend letting the tide drain a tad later this morning.

Winds are currently light SE, look for winds to crank up later as this front approaches should get a little more choppy as the day progresses.

We had a high tide just before report time. Look for the tide to drain out at 12:54 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 6.9 at 7 seconds from the SE.

Surf is waist to belly high in fresh building SE wind-swell, looks decent. Tuesday swell will further build as we have an approaching cold front that will get our surf up to belly-chest high. This front pushes through and look for a bit of a cleanup on Wednesday. Swell should then tapper off gradually from there on. Weve got some surf!

NOAA Forecast: “ A low pressure system will bring impacts to the local area today through Tuesday. High pressure will then build into the region through the remainder of the week.”

Current water temp: 57*

It is 54* this morning with sun and clouds Look for a high of 67* with rain moving in around mid-day.

Sunrise is 7:18 a.m., Sunset 5:18 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
