Good morning this is Luke with you Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, February 27 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly is basically flat ankle high at best and weak overall.

Winds are light and variable providing clean surface conditions. Winds will pick up out of the SSW at 15-20 mph today chopping the surf up.

We have a low tide at report time, high tide will fill in at 1:45 p.m

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.0 at 10 seconds in E swell.

Surf is pretty flat today . South-west wind swell should build in ahead of a cold front Tuesday, before cleaning up and rapidly dropping Tuesday afternoon. Surf then will stay down mostly through mid-week. My eyes are set on a strong low that looks to develop on Friday and produce a more significant SSW swell our way with a cleanup on Saturday. We will keep you in da loop!

The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region into Monday. A cold front will move through the region Monday night into early Tuesday. Another cold front could affect the area late week.”

It’s 62* and sunny mixed with fog at the beach. Look for a high of 78* with clouds mixed with sunshine.

Water temperature is 60*.

Sunrise is at 7:02 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:05 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
