Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout this morning is knee-to-thigh high. There is a waist set, occasionally. Doesn’t look too bad this morning for a longboard ride.

Winds are south-west at 5 to 10  knots, and surf zone is bumpy.

Look for south-west winds increasing 10 to 15 knots, then clocking south this afternoon. We see choppy surf later today.

We just had a high tide, and low tide will be at 1:18 p.m., and high tide will be at 7:55 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 13.3 feet at 6 seconds in a short=period south/south-east wind swell.

We should see a stronger, choppy south-west wind swell today into Tuesday.  It’ll likely be drifty and choppy but should increase in size in the thigh to waist high range. This wind swell will fall off mid-week as high pressure sets up over our marine area.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail through late next week. Thereafter, a cold front could impact the region”

It’s 82* and sunny this morning. We have a heat advisory in effect today, with daytime temperatures reaching 93*.

Water Temperature is around 83*.

Sunrise is at 6:11 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:28 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
