Monday June 24th

Choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Waist-chest
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: Drifty Currents

Good morning everybody, this is Luke the kook with your surf report and Forecast for Monday June 24th at 7:45 a.m.

Surf at Folly has actually to my surprise picked back up, its waist to chest high really windy and drifty out of the SSW. Some chunks coming through.

Winds are whipping pretty good out of the SSW 20+mph choppy and drifty.

We have a high tide approaching at 10:20 a.m.  A low tide to follow at around 4:24 p.m.,

The Edisto buoy is reading 7.6ft at 7 seconds from the SSW.

Surf has picked back up in SSW wind-swell showing waist to chest high at the moment. Its really choppy and drifty but more sure than I expected this morning. Looking ahead this weeks forecast is very difficult to forecast. Regardless we should have rideable surf through the majority of it with onshore winds. Mostly, localized S to SSW wind-swell. Lots of Surface troughs and moisture lingers around our marine area well see what happens. But again waist+ surf should be on tap much of our work week.

The water temperature is hovering right around 80*.

It’s currently 78 and sunny. Mix of sun and clouds today high of 86*.

Sunrise 6:13 a.m., Sunset 8:31 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
