Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, June 27th at 8:30 a.m.
Waves at the washout are knee to thigh high but a little weak. Its glassy out and the weather is nice so go get in the water if you haven’t lately.
Winds are east/south-east at 3 knots. Surf zone is fairly clean.
We are expecting winds to be out of the east this morning around 5 knots increasing to 15 knots at out the southeast this afternoon.
High tide was 7:22 a.m. We have a low tide at 1:15 p.m. Next high tide will be at 7:46 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 8 seconds in a short-period east/south-east swell.
We have small waves for today but bring the log and you might catch something. We have easterly winds throughout the day. Not much generating swell into next week so we are expecting minimal to small surf throughout the week. The weekend has a chance for some surf so keep an eye on it. Welcome to summertime.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A cold front will stall near the area Tuesday and Wednesday, then dissipate late in the week. A surface trough will move in from the southeast Friday and Saturday.”
It’s nice at the beach. It’s 81* with sunshine. Look for a high of 87* and sunny today with an onshore breeze. Looks like we have a beautiful day in store.
Water Temperature is around 84*.
