Good morning this is Luke your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, March 20 at 8:30 a.m.
New Gary Wilson mid-lengths and a batch of Pyzel boards just arrived. Come get ready for spring surfing.
Surf at Folly showing knee-thigh+ building NE wind-swell.
The wind is NE this morning around 10-15mph adding some chop and drift to the surf. Winds should remain the same for today.
We had a high tide at report time, a low tide at 1:58 p.m., and a high tide at 8:00 p.m. to conclude the day.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 at 6 seconds from the NNE in short period wind-swell.
Surfs trying to pick back up its showing knee-thigh high drifty NE conditions. Overall doesn’t look to hot but there is a little nugget out there. This trend should continue until mid-week when are winds are forecasted to rotate more favorably onshore to get this swell moving our way. Mid-week nothing great but we should have some surf. Our work week ends with a cold front due to impact our region bringing a fresh SSW wind-swell on Friday into Saturday.
The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “Broad high pressure will linger across the region through most of next week. A cold front could affect the area next weekend.”
It’s 48* chilly this morning with sunny skies. Look for temps to begin to climb up to 58 as high with sunshine.
Water temperature fell back to 60*. Brrrrr.
Sunrise is at 7:28 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:28 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
