Surf has dropped slightly showing waist to chest high, its looking pretty soft on this high tide with a little bit of drift. Theirs a wave just not as good as its been.
Winds are moderate out of the ENE around 15-20mph its side offshore creating a little funk but clean faces.
We have a high tide at 8:53 a.m. Our only low tide will be 3:01 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 8.2 ft at 9seconds from the ESE.
Surf has dropped some as expected, although still waist to chest high just a bit of drift and wind to deal with. Surf continues this gradual fading trend through mid-week. We have a stationary front developing on Thursday that looks to produce a weak low pressure right over our marine area, then shoves off the NC coastline on Friday. Unfortunately the short duration and overall weakness of this system doesn’t look to be a great wave producer. High pressure then returns over our general area and surf should be on the downside.
NOAA Marine Forecast: “Low pressure will move away from the area today, then a cold front will sweep through this afternoon. High pressure will build in Sunday through Monday night. A storm system will impact the area Wednesday into Thursday, followed by high pressure.”
The water temp is around 62*. It’s starting to warm up!
Its 48* degrees its pretty overcast. Look for a high of 64*
Sunrise is 7:18 a.m., Sunset 7:33 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
