Good morning this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, March 27 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at Folly is knee-thigh high on this mornings dead low tide. Looks like enough for the high volume equipment.
Winds are light out of the south 5-10mph making for overall clean conditions with some surface texture.
We had a low tide at report time ,look for the tide to fill back in at 1:14p.m. with a days end low tide at 7:12 P.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.3ft at 5 seconds from the south.
Surf is knee to thigh currently doesn’t look to great although for the right equipment anything is possible. Looking ahead, Mid-week high pressure takes control again of our marine area and surf should dwindle down. Look for another cold front later work week to push in another shot of SSW wind-swell.
The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “A cold front will approach from the west today, before stalling over the region through early next week. High pressure is expected to return on Wednesday and persist into late week.”
It’s warm this morning. It’s 66* and overcast skies. Look for clouds this afternoon with a high of 77* some scattered thunderstorms possible.
Water temperature is 63*
Sunrise is at 7:19 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:33 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
