Monday March 3rd Washout

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, March 2nd at 9:30 a.m.

Surf at the washout looks pretty choppy and breaking right on the beach. The winds from the NE at 10-20kt seem to add a little bite to the air and a tad bit of texture to the wave surface too. Waves are pretty weak and inconsistent at best. Might not be the best day for sending it due to the conditions but could still have fun if you had to.

Tide is going out. We have a low tide at 1:03 p.m. With a high tide at 7:24 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is 2.3 ft at 8 seconds from the ESE.

We are still praying for a solid day of surfing. Looking maybe the next few days could bring that. Cross your fingers! Our friends over at NOAA predict, “A backdoor cold front will move south across the waters this morning, bringing elevated winds and seas today and tonight. High pressure returns on Tuesday”. So, let’s see if this brings us anything promising.

Water temp is still around 53*, so boots/ and a 4/3 suit are still in order. It should start warming up in the coming weeks.

It’s 55* and cloudy. Look for mostly cloudy skies and a high of 58*.

Sunrise was 6:47 a.m. Sunset 6:18 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
