Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Monday, March 4 at 8:30 a.m.

We have tons of spring merchandise arriving at the shop daily, and we now carry Stanley drinkware branded with Ocean Surf Shop logos, so come check those out. We’ve been staying well hydrated. We also just picked up sunscreen products by Vacation brand. Come see what’s new.

Surf on Folly still showing thigh-waist high tide could help out. Winds are light out of the north its clean and looks like another decent day to get wet!

Winds light and variable. Expected to come light north later today.

High tide is at 1:32 p.m. Low tide is at 8:23 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 4.6 feet at 10 seconds in a medium period east-south/east swell.

Surf still hanging around thigh-waist high some plus sets maybe when the tide comes in.  High pressure sits well to our north-east paired with a stalled front offshore is producing some decent surf.  Surf should linger around to start our work week off, rideable waist high surf to be found. Mid-week we have a system organizing over the norther gulf heading our way weds. Onshore flow will begin out of the SSW and surf will build some. Could be a late day cleanup late weds or Thursday a.m. the timing is still unclear with the center of the storm looking to be directly over our area. We will keep you updated, but surf is in our forecast!  Long-range we are seeing another system come in over the weekend producing another SSW swell.

The water temp is around 60*.

The NOAA Marine Forecast for our waters calls for: “A stationary front will linger over the area through Sunday. High pressure will briefly build in Monday, then a low pressure system will affect the area Tuesday through Thursday.

It’s warm. It’s 62* and cloudy. Look for fog and clouds today with a high of 66* Sunshine once the fog burns off.

Sunrise is 6:48 a.m., Sunset 6:15 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
