Good morning this is Luke the kook with you Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, March 5 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly this morning ankle to knee high NE wind-swell looks weak overall.

Winds are from the east today 10mph+ making for semi choppy conditions.

We had an early morning high tide, and low tide drops out at 1:27 p.m. with another high filling in at 7:33 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6ft at 5 seconds from the ENE.

Surfs not looking to hot this morning Knee high at best. Surf unfortunately looks to stay down much of the upcoming week due to high pressure taking over our marine area here in Charleston. Although, if you have the means to get to Florida this upcoming week that would be the call. Big low pressure sets up mid-week tossing a long period large NE swell right to Florida. *This swell will be passing our shores locally* See ya in Florida!

The NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail today, before a cold front crosses the region Tuesday into Tuesday night. High pressure will return. Another cold front will impact the area late in the
week.

It’s 62* and there is sun mixed with clouds. Look for a high of 75* with clouds and sunshine mixed.

Water temperature is up to 65*.

The days are getting longer. Sunrise is at 6:47 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:16 p.m.
