Good morning this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, May 1st at 8:30 a.m.
We have a ton of spring-suits and wetsuit jackets in stock here at the shop. Get ready to get into the water for the weekend’s swell.
Surf at Folly knee-thigh high in a fading SSW wind-swell. Looks decent for the logs this morning.
Winds are moderate out of the SW this morning some slight texture to it early. Look for winds to Pick up strong West today 15-25+mph
Low tide is approaching at 11:41 a.m. high tide will fill in at 6:05 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.5 ft at 6 seconds from the SW.
Surfs dropped a lot overnight still showing knee-thigh high longboard waves this morning. Winds are going to knock it flat later today with strong offshore winds. Looking further ahead, high pressure builds back in mid-week and the surf will become flat.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “high pressure returning towards the middle of the week. Another cold front could impact the region late in the week.”
Its 68 this morning with sunshine, Temps should pick up to mid 70s with sun prevailing.
Water temperature is 72*.
