Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Monday, May 20th at 8:00 a.m.
Surf at Folly is around knee-waist high in drifty NE wind-swell. Looking pretty soft on this mornings high tide but a few waves coming in.
Currently winds are moderate out of the ENE around 15mph its choppy and drifty.
We have a low tide at 12:36 p.m., and a high tide at 7:00 p.m. today.
The Edisto buoy is reading 5.6ft from the ENE at 7 seconds
Surf is trying to get something going still small knee-waist high choppy local wind-swell. Unfortunately not much relief is on the way. This only hope is yesterdays moisture looks to stall south of Bermuda mid-week maybe it can get better organized into a low. But that’s getting a little optimistic. High pressure sits over us much of our work week keeping the surf Down. Pray for surf.
Water temperature is hovering right around 73*, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings.
It’s currently 69* and sunny. Today we see a high of 76* and sunny.
