Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, May 29 at 7:30 a.m.
Would like to acknowledge all the brave on this Memorial Day.
We just received a whole shipment of Aloha Ecotech longobards and a new batch of Mick Fanning softboards. Come check ‘em out.
Surf at the Folly around knee-thigh high looking pretty weak overall. Enough to give the logs a push. Beautiful morning SUN IS BACK!!!
Winds are west around 10mph making for pretty clean conditions this morning. Winds should come more south-west later today around 15mph.
We have a low tide at 10:35 a.m. . High tide fills in at 4:30 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 ft at 9 seconds from the ESE.
Surf continued to fade out showing knee high maybe slightly larger but its looking pretty weak. High pressure will then return and settle in over our marine area keeping the surf on a downward trend Monday through the middle of your work week. Long range models hinting at another locally produced low pressure system to develop near Florida models have shifted a bit since yesterday showing the Low more offshore and favorably in our swell window on Saturday this coming week. We will keep you posted don’t get to excited yet it’s a ways out and models generally will shift some, but keep your eyes on it.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “. A coastal low is forecast to move onshore north of the Santee River early this morning, drifting slowly northward through Memorial Day. A mid-level disturbance may linger along the Southeast Atlantic coast well into next week.”
Its 63*, its partly cloudy Look for a high of 75* sunshine will return .
Water temperature is 75*. Might drop a few degrees today. It’ll be right back up next week. p
Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
