Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Monday, May 6 at 7:40 a.m.
We have lots of new boards on the floor, including Epoxy Pyzel Gremlins and the new Precious model. Also, classic WRV longboads including the Shuffleboard and Model 67 Classic. Local boy Tim Jump from Secula dropped of a few stunners as well, come check them out!
Surfs about knee-thigh high this morning, winds are on it out of the SE and the tide is pretty full this morning. There is a longboard wave if your trying to get wet.
Winds are moderate out of the SE around 10-15mph
We just came off a high tide, a low tide at 1:12 p.m., high tide is 7:32 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3 feet at 5 seconds from the SE.
We have continued small summerlike trade-swell up to around knee-thigh on tap for the start of our work week. High pressure sits NE of our marine area generating some small SE flow. Later in the week it looks like we have a low/front that will push through the area late Thursday. This should build the surf up slightly more nothing to significant but a noticeable stronger pulse should be available late work week.. Things do look to become flat again into the upcoming weekend.
Water temperature is hovering right around 73*, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings and evenings. .
Its in the low 70s this morning look for a high of around 80* today with ample sunshine.
It’s currently 74* and partly cloudy. Today will be partly cloudy with a high of 78* .
Sunrise 6:29 a.m., Sunset 8:04 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
