Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov 13th at 8:45 a.m.
Surf at the washout looks to be running around knee-thigh with a waist high set. It is a pretty angled running down the beach with a full tide underneath it. Looks like it could be a little something for the fish or longboard.
Winds are currently north/north-east at 10 mph making for drifty conditions, but fairly clean. Expect NE winds to stay around 10-15 mph with 20 mph gusts
High tide was at 7:23 a.m. We have a low tide is 1:09 p.m., and next high tide will be 7:29 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.2 feet at 7 seconds in short period north-east wind-swell most of which is heading south past our shores.
High angled Northeast wind-swell knee-thigh high for Monday. This trend should continue throughout the day before the surf goes down until mid-week. Long range forecast I’m way more hopeful. Mid-late week we should see significant moisture/low pressure move our direction from the northern Gulf this will interact with our marine area Friday/Saturday we will keep you posted but its looking good. Also beginning to watch a potential tropical development in the southern Caribbean late work week into the weekend next week. Chances are improving that the end of the week into the weekend could give us some fun surf!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will gradually build in from the north early this week. An area of Low pressure is forecasted to move just south and east of our region mid to late this week. A cold front will move through this weekend.”
Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 67*.
It’s 56* with clouds and wind. Look for a high of 65* and partly cloudy today.
Sunrise is at 6:47 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:20 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
