Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov. 18 at 8:30 a.m.

Water Temperatures have dropped a good bit over the last few days. It’s now 56*, which is REALLY cold for mid-November. We have O’neil, Billabong and Body Glove Neoprene on the floor to keep you toasty!

Surf at Folly this morning is thigh-to-waist high with a stomach high set.

Winds are north/north-west at 5 to 10 knots. Surf is nice and clean, and looks fun for a high-volume board.

Look for north-west winds to persist at 5 knots today, with a clean surf-zone and dropping ground swell today.

We have a high tide at 11:41 a.m., and a low tide at 6:13 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.2 ft. at 7 seconds in a high angled east/north-east swell.

Surf continues clean with much less wind this morning as the low that set up swell over the weekend moves away from our coast to the north. Currently Folly is seeing waist high (plus) surf and not too much drift. It looks a little cold, but fun.  There should be a fun long-board wave through high tide, so get on it if you can. You’ll need at least a 3/2 and booties. Surf fades into mid-week.

Its 49* and raining this morning. Look for rain to clear and we see clouds and a high of 59* today.

Water temperature is dropping rapidly. It’s now 56*. It’s dropped 8* in about a week.

Sunrise is at 6:52 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:16 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
