Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m.
We will be having our annual “Schwack Friday” sale this Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. We’ll have 25% off men’s and women’s foot-wear and apparel, and $100 off of any new board in the shop, including $40 off of any soft-board. There will be lots of other deals, so come check out the sale.
Surf at Folly this morning is knee high. There is a rare thigh set.
Winds are west/north-west this morning about 5 knots, and surf is very clean. You could ride it on the long-board if you need to get wet.
Look for winds to rotate south-west at a mere 5 knots this afternoon. Surf stays semi-clean all day.
Tide is going out, and low tide will be at 12:36 p.m. High tide will be at 6:36 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 ft. ft. at 10 seconds in a long period south-east swell.
We have clean, small surf this morning in the knee high range with a slightly bigger set, and it’s nice and clean. Bring the long-board for the glide. Looking long-range high pressure does return for the work week. Not much action for Folly although another cold front looks to approach Wednesday night passing on Thanksgiving, and we see very small north-east wind waves fill in Thursday and Friday. As another cold front approaches Sunday, look for a bigger, strong south/south-west wind swell cleaning up late day.
Its 48* with sun this morning. Look for a great beach day with a high of 62* and sun.
Water temperature is now 59*
Sunrise is at 6:59 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
