Good morning, this is Brad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov. 4th at 8:00 a.m.
We have new Ocean Surf Shop hooded fleece in stock. All of our neoprene is on the floor as well, so you can keep surfing as it cools off!
Surf at the Washout this morning is averaging knee high, with semi-glassy conditions.
Winds are NNE at 7-11 knots, producing a slight and minimal texture to the wave face.
Look for winds to continue from the N/NE today with gusts up to 15 knots.
We have a high tide at 1:38 p.m. today, and a low tide will be at 6:59 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.0 ft. at 8.3 seconds in a short period Easterly swell with ENE winds.
Surf looks to remain semi-glassy throughout the day, producing a possible longboard wave if you find yourself in the right spot. High pressure moves into the area for the early work week, but we do expect another cold front to show up on our coast on Tuesday evening. This should bring some periods of small scale rideable surf. An even stronger cold front appears late week, Friday into Saturday, bringing our best chance of some fun, hopefully sizeable waves. We will keep you posted throughout the week as new developments take place!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: High pressure will prevail inland, while a coastal trough develops near the coast through Tuesday. A cold front will then pass through Tuesday evening. High pressure will return Wednesday, before a stronger cold front crosses the area late week. Chilly high pressure will build in next weekend.”
We have sunny skies with light wind this morning. It’s 54* currently. Look for a high of 71 today.
Water temperature is slowly dropping, now 71*.
Sunrise is at 6:40 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:25 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
