Clean. Choppy this afternoon.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-Thigh+. Waist high+ sets
Traffic: None
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Chad with your 8:30 am surf report for Monday, October 21, 2024. Happy Birthday to our lil’ store grom Ada!
Water’s making that dip, come get some Neoprene and stay warm! Tops, Spring, Short Sleeve Full, 3/2s and 4/3s at the shop
Surf at the washout is knee-thigh+ some waist high+ sets as the tide is pushing in this morning. Surf should get a notch small once the tide backs out. Overall looked like a decent little wave and it’s pretty clean
We have a high tide at 11:34 am, and a low tide at 5:56 pm.
Winds are NNE at 13 mph with some higher gust. Winds looking to trend out of the NE for the rest of the day around 13-15 mph. This will add a little chop to it.
Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 7.7 seconds in short period E-ESE swell.
It’s a fun little wave out there this morning. Wedges at the washout and some little left lines at the pier. Oscar is now a tropical storm and expected to stay that way at least through Wednesday at it moves to the northeast of the Bahamas. Looks like we should get some waves pushing in later today-Thursday morning. Favor the morning with the winds having a little more north to them.
Our buddies at NOAA say: “High pressure will prevail through next weekend.”
It’s 60* and Sunny. We see a high of 74*. Beautiful Monday beach day!
Sunrise is at 7:28 a.m., Sunset 6:39 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast. #follybeach #surfreport #TSoscarsendussomething #wavestomorrow
