Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, October24 at 8:30 a.m.
We received a shipment of Catch Surf Logs at the shop. We have 7’0” and 8’0” logs back in stock. Come get them while they’re hot.
Waves at The Pier this morning are inconsistent, but there is a knee/thigh set every so often.
Winds are north at 5 to 8 knots, and surf zone is side-shore and clean. A few people catching a glide this morning.
Look for north winds around 10 knots, going east at 10 knots late day. Surf should stay fairly clean today.
We had a high tide at 7:34 a.m., and low tide will be at 1:43 p.m. The next high tide will be at 7:44 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3 feet at 9 seconds in an easterly swell.
We see drifty, north wind swell today averaging knee-to-thigh high. We continue to see north-east wind swell until mid-week, when winds come south-west and surf gets smaller. WE see a more significant north-east wind swell late next week into the weekend as low pressure affects our marine area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “Dry high pressure will remain over the area through next Tuesday. A weak cold front should then move through mid week, followed by high pressure into late week. Low pressure should arrive next weekend with unsettled conditions.”
Water temperature is running around 69*, dude!
It’s a chilly 56* and sunny this morning. Look for a sunny day with perfect beach weather and a high of 72*.
Sunrise is at 7:30 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:38 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
