Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, October 2nd at 8:30 a.m.
Surf is waist-belly high with a inconsistent plus set. Winds are moderate NNE making for some drift. Overall looks decent definitely worth a shot.
Winds are north/north-east 10-15 knots today. Faces are pretty clean
We have a high tide at 10:55 a.m. Look for low tide at 5:15 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.6 @10 seconds in ESE ground-swell.
Surf is holding strong waist-chest high sets, winds are not the best but plenty of swell. We are seeing early ground-swell from tropical storms Phillipe and Rina. Looking ahead Phillipe keeps churning just north of the Caribbean islands more favorably into our swell window with some further strengthening forecasted. Phillipe swell should be on tap for most of our work week. Not expecting anything epic here winds will be NE most of the week, but their should be plenty of swell. Phillipe swell will start fading out Friday.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ gh pressure will extend across the region through this week. A cold front will come through on Friday”
Water temperature is around 75*.
It’s 64 and sunny. Look for a high of around 80* today with a mix of clouds and sunshine.
Sunrise is at 7:11 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:10 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
