Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and forecast for Monday, September 16 at 8 a.m.

*Our coastline is under Tropical Storm warning.

Surf at Folly is about waist to chest high in drifty east swell. Winds are strong offshore surfs clean. Looking a bit fat and mushy early hopefully the tide dropping we can get some bowls.

Winds are out of the north 15-25+mph surf is clean

We just came off a high tide, low tide will be at 1:01 p.m. another high tide to finish the day at 7:23 p.m.

We have a tropical disturbance forecasted to become tropical storm Helene later today. Surf is currently waist to chest high, hopefully the swell can hang on today. The center of this system is now north of us so in other words our wave production phase is over and a fading trend should begin from here. Tropical storm Gordon further out in the Atlantic is still moving slowly our way hopefully it can hang on. For now enjoy the swell we got not a ton of certainty when our next wave maker will be. Gordon will be our next hope for long range forecast.

Its overcast skies with some rain squalls not far away. Look for windy day with sun mixed with showers.

Sunrise is at 7:03 a.m., Sunset 7:25 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
