Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, September 18th at 7:30 a.m.

We have wet-suit jackets and spring suits in stock.

Surf showing knee high with maybe a slightly plus set here and there. Winds offshore surf is clean. Longboard sesh is the call.

Winds are moderate out of the WNW for today, keeping the surf clean.

We have a high tide at 10:32 a.m.  Low tide to follow at 4:55 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.0 feet at 5 seconds from the west moving away from our shores.

Surf is currently knee maybe thigh high and pretty weak overall.. Although the surf is really clean and a beautiful morning at the beach.  Surf should continue staying rideable through mid-week as Margot+Nigel two tropical storms out in the central Atlantic could push some small groundswell our direction with unfavorable winds. Action continues late work week, models still showing a “homegrown Low” forming off the SE coast strong NE winds are expected late work week for now but we will keep you up to date as we get closer. Also another low looks to enter the Caribbean islands late work week as well. Lots to watch and surf should be rideable most of our work week with varying conditions.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A cold front will move through tonight, then high pressure will rebuild for much of the upcoming week. Coastal low pressure could affect the region late week into the weekend.”

 Water temperature is around 83*.

It’s 70 with sun mixed with clouds. Look for a high today of 81 with sunny skies.

Sunrise is at 7:02 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:29 p.m.
