Monday Washout

Good morning. This is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, December 15th at 9:00 a.m.  The waves at the Washout this brisk morning are running about knee high at best. The North winds blowing 10-15kt are only making this super cold morning surf option worse as it is absolutely freezing. I would steer clear of the surfing and maybe get some Christmas shopping done instead of a paddle session. It just looks/feels harsh.

It is cold this morning and booties are a thing now.  We are fully stocked on wetsuits, booties, gloves, and hoods. So, get ‘em before they are gone!

Tide is low at 10:26 pm. We see a high tide today at 4:30 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is showing 6.6 ft. at 8 seconds from the ENE.

Winds gust at 10kt from the North with afternoon gust of up to 20kt.

Our friends over at NOAA predict: “Bitter cold conditions will prevail today through Tuesday. Dry high pressure remains in control through Thursday before the next cold front impacts the area Friday”. This is saying it looks to be cold for a while and get used to it ya dang kooks.

It’s 29* and sunny this morning. Look for a high 40* with sun in the afternoon.

Sunrise was 7:15 a.m. Sunset 5:16 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
