Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 8:30 a.m.

Don’t forget to vote today! Keep in mind flooding, overdevelopment and quality of life in our great little slice.

Surf at the Pier this morning is averaging waist high. It has recently begun pouring out here at the beach, so visibility is pretty low, but there are clean waves to be ridden.

Winds are N at about 6 knots, and conditions are clean.

Look for winds to continue from the N/NE today with gusts up to 10 knots.

We are coming off of low tide now. We have a high tide at 2:31 p.m. today, and a low tide will be at 8:42 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.6 ft. at 6 seconds in a short period SE wind/swell combo.

Surf looks to remain semi-glassy throughout the day, with rain and wind sporadic. There is definitely swell at the buoy and in the water this morning if you’re in the right spot. We see high pressure throughout the week followed by a cold front Friday and into the weekend that should be some more small scale surf over the next couple of days and increased chances for the weekend.  Swing by and grab some new neoprene for the season!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: High pressure will prevail far inland today, while a coastal trough lingers offshore. A cold front will then pass through tonight. High pressure will return Wednesday, before a stronger cold front crosses the area late week. High pressure will build in over the weekend and prevail into early next week.”

It’s 64* and raining with grey skies this morning. Look for a high of 72* today with some sun poking through this afternoon.

Water temperature is slowly dropping, now 71*.

Sunrise is at 6:42 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:25 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
