Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Nov.14 at 8:30 a.m.
City Council reiterated that there is to be no surfing within 200 feet of the pier as construction continues. Please abide by these regulations, so we don’t lose the privilege to surf in the area. The City will restrict surfing for two blocks in either direction if the local surf community does not stay 200 feet away. Law enforcement will be enforcing the ordinance.
Surf at Folly is waist-to-stomach high overall looks pretty fun this morning.
Winds are light out of the north north-east putting some slight texture to the surf.
Look for winds to stay north-east but remain on the lighter side.
We just came off a high at 6:44 A.m. Low tide is at 12:53 a.m., and high tide will be at 6:53 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is down. Virtual buoy data is showing 3.0 ft. at 8 seconds in a medium period east/south-east swell.
Surf is still out there running waist to belly high this morning. Overall looks worth it if your not surfed out from this past week. This swell will continue its fading trend throughout the remainder of the day today. Looking ahead it looks like we will be resting our arms for the next several days as high pressure dominates our marine area resulting in minimal surf for us.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A series of fast moving cold fronts will cross the region this weekend into next week as broad high pressure remains in place.”
It’s 70* and we have sun mixed with a few clouds this morning. Look for a high of 75* with clouds mixed with some sun all day.
Water temperature is around 70*.
Sunrise is at 6:48a.m. and sunset will be at 5:18 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
