Time of Report: 8:00 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee high
Traffic: None
Parking: plenty
Dangers: None

Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov.16 at 8:00 a.m.

City Council reiterated that there is to be no surfing within 200 feet of the pier as construction continues. Please abide by these regulations, so we don’t lose the privilege to surf in the area. The City will restrict surfing for two blocks in either direction if the local surf community does not stay 200 feet away. Law enforcement will be enforcing the ordinance.

Surf at Folly has gone pretty flat knee high sets breaking on the beach this morning.

Winds are light offshore out of the north 5-10 mph. Surface conditions are clean.

Look for winds to remain the same throughout today.

We have a high tide at 8:29 a.m. Low tide will follow at 2:36 p.m.,

Edisto Buoy is down. Virtual buoy data is showing 1.1 ft. at 9 seconds in a medium period south-east swell.

Surf has finally gone flat. What a run of swell we just had. Things look to slow down for us here on Folly much of our work week as high pressure dominates our marine area. A decent low moves off of the New England coast and shoves a shot of NE swell down to Florida mid-week. This will pass our shores unfortunately. Later in the work week a strong high pressure moves well offshore and looks to produce some onshore flow late work week into the weekend that should build some SE swell. That’s a ways out but for now that’s looking like our next wave maker.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail today, then will become reinforced by more high pressure behind a cold front late Tuesday. High pressure will then persist through the upcoming weekend and into early next week.”

It’s 62* and mostly sunny this morning. Look for a high of 69*

Water temperature is around 70*.

Sunrise is at 6:51a.m. and sunset will be at 5:20 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
