Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 a.m.
WATER DROP ALERT temperatures have dropped exceedingly over the last few days. We have O’neil, Billabong and Bodyglove Neoprene on the floor to keep you toasty!
Surf at Folly this morning is waist-to-belly high clean but some drift still remains.
Winds are north/north-west at 20 knots with higher gust. Winds are bending around more favorably.
Look for north-west winds to persist 20 knots today, with occasional gusts to 25.
We have a high tide at 10:54 a.m., and a low tide at 5:18 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 12.8 ft. at 9 seconds in a high angled east/north-east swell.
Surf has cleaned up some overnight as the Low begins pushing offshore. Currently Folly is seeing waist to belly high surf clean faces with still a lot of drift. Be aware its blowing offshore 20+mph its cold! Wind and swell both look to start its fading trend throughout the day. Possible leftover loggable wave on your Monday morning incoming tide push. Looking ahead surf looks small during our work week as high pressure settles back over our swell window.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Strong low pressure offshore will move away today. A weak cold front is forecasted to cross through Monday night, followed by high pressure until late in the week. Unsettled weather should return next weekend.”
Its 47* out this morning WINDY. Look for clouds to move out and sunshine to return later today with a expected high of 58*.
Water temperature is dropping rapidly. It’s now 60*. It’s dropped 8* in about a week.
Sunrise is at 6:49 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:17 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
