Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, November 28 at 8:30 a.m.
We will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for normal operations today.
We received a limited number of Album, Catch Surf and Ben Gravy soft-boards. Come get them before they are gone.
Surf at the Folly is Knee high with a very rare thigh high set. Overall be fun for the logs this morning.
Winds are dead calm this morning surf is clean.
Look for winds to remain light and variable through most of the day keeping the surf zone clean.
We have just come off a high tide at 6:14 a.m. low tide will follow at 12:26 p.m and another high after sunset at 6:36.
There is a mix of very small south-east swell and short period south swell at the virtual buoy for today, so not much swell rolling off-shore today.
Surf is looking pretty dismal this morning although a longboard wave can be found. A strong cold front approaches on Sunday, when wind swell will be on the increase. Look for big, choppy south-west wind swell on Monday, before surf goes flat Tuesday behind a cold front as strong westerly winds blow down the swell. Surf stays down mid-week until Friday where models are picking up a low emerging off the central Florida coast. That’s a ways out but something to keep an eye for the time being.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A weak area of low pressure will track across southern Georgia today. A strong storm system will effect the region Sunday night into Monday. Cold high pressure will then slowly build in and persist through most of next week.”
It’s 60* cloudy with passing showers this morning. Look for a high of 63* today and cloudy skies with rain in the forecast.
Water temperature is around 65*.
Sunrise is at 7:01 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
