Good morning this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, Nov 9th at 8:30 a.m.

With the time change, we have changed our shop hours. We are now open for winter hours from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We will still close at 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Surf at the Washout is just shy of being flat.

Winds are south-west 10-15mph today making for some textured surface conditions.

Low tide is approaching at 10:51 a.m., High tide will be 4:56 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.0 feet at 4 seconds in short period wind-swell.

Not much out there today, so time to catch up on some unfinished work. We have high pressure in control of our marine area, and we’re going to see surf on the smaller side of the wave spectrum through late week. For later in the week, a cold front advances Friday night, and we see some pre-frontal south wind chop, followed by strong north-east wind swell for the weekend. This is a good week to go inshore fishing, that’s probably the best call.  Possibly some surf to start next week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region through Friday. A cold front will drop into the area Friday night, then high pressure will gradually build in from the north.

Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 65*.

The weather is beautiful. It’s 64* and sunny. Look for a high of 75* today with sun mixed with clouds.

Sunrise is at 6:42 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:24 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
