Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report 03/26/2022

Slightly textured

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat
Traffic: None in the morning
Parking: Plenty for now
Dangers: None

Good morning, this is Scott with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, March 26 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout this morning is about as flat as it gets

Winds are west at 9 knots, and surf zone is slightly textured.

Look for west winds to continue west with a slight increase to about 11 knots as the day continues.

Low tide will be at 9:50 a.m. We have a high tide at 3:58 p.m., and the next low tide at 10:02 p.m. today.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 0.5 feet at 8 seconds in a short-period south-east wind swell.

Unfortunately, there is no surf out there today and it looks like it will be this way for the next few days. It looks like the beginning of April we will see an increase in swell and wind outputting some decent surf. We will keep you updated on that in the meantime, but otherwise, it is a beautiful brisk day on Folly!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will build over the area through the weekend and persist through the middle of next week. A cold front will likely impact the area next Thursday.”

It’s currently 52* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 69* with sunshine and breezy.

Water Temperature is around 64*.

Sunrise is at 7:16 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:36 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
