clean

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Thigh-waist
Traffic: slow
Parking: plenty of parking
Dangers: none

Good morning, this is Scott with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, May 13 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout this morning is thigh-to-waist high. Looks pretty clean this morning with a couple of fun ones.

Winds are north/north-north-east at 15 knots, and surf zone is clean.

Look for winds to die down around 9:00 a.m.

We have a high tide at 9:43 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:35 p.m. The next high tide will be tonight late at 9:56 p.m.

Look for smaller a few fun waves in the morning with the clean conditions. The conditions will weaken throughout the day especially when the lower tide drains it out. Best bet today is a morning log or fish session.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather forecast calls for: “A high pressure will build into the area today and persist through early next week.”

This morning it is overcast and 52*. It’s a little bit chilly out this morning, but look for clear skies and a temperature in the high 60’s this afternoon.

Water temperature is up to around 74*.

Sunrise is at 6:22 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:11 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
