Clean

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-Thigh
Traffic: Minimal
Parking: Plenty
Dangers: None

Good morning, this is Scott with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, July 1 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Washout this morning is knee-to-thigh high and relatively clean. It’s looks pretty weak and at the morning’s low tide, but should get slightly bigger as the tide comes in. Enough power to push a log and maybe a chunky fish if you make it out.

Winds are south-south-west around 5 knots, and surf zone has a few lumps and looks like a standard summer session

Look for winds to maintain a southern direction all day with it picking up to 10 knots by 6 p.m. The wind is onshore so there isn’t too much to expect in terms of great swell, but it is definitely rideable.

Tide is coming in. We have a high tide at 2:25 p.m., and low tide will be at 8:18 p.m.

This morning appears to be a little trade-wind swell with onshore winds perfect for a longboard or grom ready to get in the water.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “Atlantic high pressure will prevail before a cold front approaches Friday, then stalls over or near the area through early next week. A low pressure system could impact the area during the middle of next week.”

It’s partly cloudy and 79* at the beach. Expect a humid day with a high of 84*

Water temperature is around 83*.

Sunrise is at 6:16 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:32 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
