Good morning, this is Scott with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, September 11 at 8:30 a.m.

Today we honor those who were victims to the September 11th terror attacks 20 years ago. Our hearts go out to those who were affected along with their families.

Surf at the Washout is knee – thigh high at best. It’s sad to see the swell from Larry dissipate but it’s a beautiful morning and there’s a small wave for a longboard.

Winds are north-east at 7 knots, and the surf is mostly clean but there is a small bit of chop on the surface.

Look for winds to stay north-east all day below 10 knots.

High tide is at 11:57 a.m., and low tide will be at 6:07 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 2.4 ft. at 11 seconds in a medium-period east wind swell.

The past few days have been amazing and although today isn’t that we will keep you updated as soon as we have more waves on the way. Today is going to be mostly small ridable north-east wind swell. Best bet is in on the incoming tide this morning to high tide with a big board and lower expectations for the day.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail this weekend and persist through the middle of next week.

It’s 70* this morning and sunny. Look for a high of 84* with plenty of sun all day.

Water temperature is around 83*.

Sunrise is at 7:02 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:32 p.m.
