Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, October 13 at 8:30 a.m.

The Carolina Surf Film Festival is coming up next weekend – that’s Friday, October 18 and Saturday October 19. Tickets and more information available at carolinasurffilmfestival.com.

Surf at The Pier this morning is knee high with thigh high sets.  It is very soft at the high tide early.

Winds are light and variable this morning making for clean conditions.

We see winds trend more south through the day picking up into the 10mph area.

We have a high tide at 8:12 a.m and a low tide will be at 2:16 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 ft. at 11 seconds in a long period east swell.

Surf has dropped a little since yesterday running Knee high with a plus set here and there. Certainly enough to push a log if you want to get wet on this beautiful Sunday morning. Surf continues its dropping trend into early this week before we see a decent cold front approach our area. This front will produce a quick hit and run shot of South wind-swell mid-week. Weds afternoon could be the call. Tropics have gone quite. We will keep you posted.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A weak cold front will approach from the west today, then become stationary near the area until a stronger cold front moves through on Wednesday. High pressure returns for the second half of the week.”

We have glorious weather at the beach. It’s 72* and sunny this morning. Time for some neoprene. Look for a high of 82* and sun all day.

Water temperature has dropped to 77*. Get a spring suit.

Sunrise is at 7:19 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:53 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
